Airport
For the ones staying before or after the wedding in Costa Nova, here are some tips or ideas of activities to enjoy your stay.

• The Beach: Costa Nova beach is quite famous and all the neighbourhoods gather during the summer on the long white sand beach! Beach Volley, bars and of course the sea with usually high waves are waiting for you!
Transportation
Should you plan spending some days visiting Portugal, we strongly advise you to rent a car since public transports are not widely developed outside the main cities.

NOTE: If you rent a car together with your Ryanair flight, prices might be very interesting (I have already borrowed a car for 3days for approx. 40€) nevertheless, it requires a caution of 1200€ that is blocked on your visa (it is usually mentioned in small at the end of the booking confirmation). Should do forget to provision 1200€ on your Visa card, you will have to pay 50€ additional fee for an « insurance » instead of the caution.

In all cases, here are some itineraries that could be useful when joining us :
Porto Airport – Costa Nova
1) By Car (approx 1h)

a. Follow the GPS as much as possible. However,
here are two advices:

i. Take the « Freixo » bridge if possible (usually less traffic)
ii. Do prefer the A29 instead of A1 highway (A29 can be taken some kilometres after exiting Porto city towards the south)

2) By Train (approx 2h30 – Total cost between 6€ to 16€)
