For the ones staying before or after the wedding in Costa Nova, here are some tips or ideas of activities to enjoy your stay.


• The Beach: Costa Nova beach is quite famous and all the neighbourhoods gather during the summer on the long white sand beach! Beach Volley, bars and of course the sea with usually high waves are waiting for you!

o NOTE 1: We use to go on the north part of the beach near the café “Prefacio” where there are usually less people per
Meter Square.
o NOTE 2: The sea can be turbulent some days, so enjoy the waves with carefulness.

• The “Tripas”: Tripas are one of the most famous specialities of Costa Nova. It is a kind of pancake usually filled in with melting chocolate or “Ovos Moles” which is another speciality of the region made of yellow egg & sugar. You cannot leave Costa Nova without trying it!

o NOTE 1: Since the very start of the history, “Zé da Tripa” have always been the reference when it comes to “Tripas”, so even if there might be a longer queue, always prefer the “Zé da Tripa” -> here is the picture to make sure you don’t miss it:

• Sports: For the one who likes doing some sports on holidays, Costa Nova offers some facilities like 2 tennis court (free of charge), one synthetic football field (free of charge), one mini golf (not sure if it is really a sport though) and of course all sorts of beach's sports: Volley, Surf, beach racket, Frisbee, etc..

• Restaurant: should you be interested in having dinner at the restaurant, we would advise you to have a look at the Dori Restaurant, located just above the fish market, it serves a large choice of traditional Portuguese dishes.

• Shopping: For the “fashionista“ of the group, the closest place for shopping is in Aveiro, approximately 15min by car, and I would advise you to start at the “Forum” which is located in the centre of the Aveiro city, you cannot miss it.
